Salsa
Salsa is of a Spanish Caribbean genre. In the 1960’s and 70’s salsa was created by Cuban and Puerto Rican immigrants. Salsa is diverse and at times is mixed with jazz, pop R&B to create the link between the different beats/songs.

Street dance was created exactly where it states on the streets, or in clubs but outside of the traditional dance studio environment.

Street dance is a reflection of hip hop dance hall music. Individuals whether your parents are British white, Black British Caribbean, Pakistani learn to dance by watching dance routines particular to their community culture.
Nowadays you find that most young people whilst being able to dance to their traditional music, cross over and are now able to dance street dance. This is a positive cultural crossover.
Our aim is to encourage youngsters to participate in sessions organised by my company. So for instance your students may be happy to learn to dance
